All citizens of Colombian nationality, regardless of the length of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days must pay VAT (19%) on the date of departure. Foreigners with a tourist visa are exempt from this tax. If a person subject to paying the tax and another exempt one from the same room, the rate can be applied to the whole room.
