This comfortable hotel is situated at the heart of York, next to the famous city walls and just minutes from the historic Minster and vibrant city centre. The hotel has individual charming bedrooms, a wide menu in the Carvery restaurant and a warm welcome throughout. Furthermore there is limited car parking for residents. It has a Courtyard garden, a welcoming bar, plenty of relaxing lounges and the Cloisters Restaurant, offering a wide choice of cuisine and variety of culinary delights. Free wireless internet is available throughout the hotel. There are individually designed rooms, all with en-suite bathroom and each comes well equipped. All rooms are double and twins, some with king-size beds. The BEST WESTERN Monkbar Hotel will be undergoing a programme of refurbishment and redevelopment commencing May 2014 through to December 2014 which may cause some disturbance to residents and guests. Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.30pm each day, but no work taking place at the weekends.
We will no longer have parking on site for residents, we will have a drop off point at reception for guests to off load passengers and luggage, we will have a member of the team on hand to issue if required a parking voucher for a number of York car Parks, the closest is around the corner which they will be directed towards, the charge is £5.00 per night for a 26 hours parking time, this starts at 8am the day of arrival until 10am the following morning. This is a secure car park and locked between the hours of 8pm and 8am, entry out of these times can be made available through the reception team. Also when the building work is completed we will still not have parking on site, So could you please put on a message the following -
