The river Oos runs below - one side stands a mountain. The town where there are numerous shops-galleries and local restaurants is a five-minute drive/20-minute walk.
The heart of the hotel - the lobby -25m pool and bar - is open clean and simply designed. This contrasts with the paths running between tall lushly-planted walls that lead to rooms.
All villas have walled tropical gardens. The bathrooms and principal living space is separated by an outdoor area. Carved panels open up rooms to incorporate views and the scent of forest while the volumes of light flows through interiors from the bedroom through to garden terraces - private courtyards and infinity-edge plunge pools.
The Terrace Rooms located throughout the resort are each 45sqm with garden terraces. The Garden Rooms positioned along the northern perimeter all 53sqm with a private courtyard. The Uma Pool Suites are 94sqm and have infinity-edge pools with views across the valley down to the snaking river. The Uma Suite is similar but without a pool. The COMO Suite located on the southern edge of the resort has the best pool as well as a private treatment area.
In-room facilities are decadent. The open-air bathrooms all include separate baths and shower. Facilities include flatscreen TVs with satellite channels - DVD players a personal safe - Yoga mats and minibars.
The restaurant is called Kemiri. The open air space seating 70 in addition to an intimate private dining room - stylish area beside a waterfall-fed pond - with light airy alang-alang ceilings. Kemiri serves breakfast - lunch and dinner. All Day Dining is also available
